We are proud to introduce handmade Moc Toes from Japan by Jamvaida which is a sister company to Miyagi Kogyo. Since 1941 the family of brands produced by Miyagi Kogyo has been manufacturing high quality footwear in Japan using old world techniques and still to this day build their boots around wooden lasts. The finished work and attention to detail on these boots is a work of art! The Moc Toes are Goodyear leather welted and can be resoled over time. Miyagi Kogyo is committed to use the highest quality materials available including Horween upper hides, leather welts, Dr. Sole and Vibram outsoles, cork filler and made in Japan hardware. These boots fit like a 55 last in a D+ width to provide extra toe room. We have been wearing these and the width is a little generous but not too extreme. We feel these are in-between a D and E 55 last. In case you need to take up a little volume, we suggest a thicker sock or a thin liner insole. Spenco Rx Insole is a great option!
