Small details like a long continuous quarter over the big toe joint and a corresponding wider sole at the inside ball of the foot makes a world of difference in the safety and performance of the boot. The higher arch, mid-sole, and wide, thick shank combine to provide critical support and stability for pole climbing or standing on rungs and crossbars. In layman terms, this boot stands for performance with a capital "P".
