Limited to 30 Pairs
Some boots are made to be worn.
Some are made to be hunted.
This is the latter.
For this exclusive run, we partnered with Wesco to produce just 30 pairs of the iconic Mister Lou engineer boot in Natural Vacchetta Horsehide — a leather that starts pale, raw, and full of life… and darkens into a deep, honeyed brown with wear, oil, and sun.
No shortcuts. When they’re gone, they’re gone.
Vegetable-tanned and left undyed, this leather tells your story from day one.
• Full-grain horsehide
• Natural, unfinished surface
• High oil content for depth and pull-up
• Dramatic patina development
• Will darken significantly with wear
Every scuff becomes character. Every mile becomes visible. This is the engineer boot equivalent of raw denim — it gets better because you live in it.
Originally built on Wesco’s narrow-profile engineer last, the Mister Lou has become one of the most sought-after engineer boots in the world.
Specs:
• 10" Height
• Natural Vacchetta Horsehide
• Classic Engineer Strap Configuration
• Vibram® 705 Half Comp Sole in brown
• Stitchdown Construction
• Handcrafted in Scappoose, Oregon
The silhouette is sleek, slightly dressier then todays engineer, but still built like a tank. Understated, but serious.
That means:
• No two pairs will age the same
• First scuffs show immediately
• Six months from now, they’ll look completely different than day one
This is a boot you commit to.
The Mister Lou typically runs slightly short and narrow. An 'E' is a D is most other lasts. We advise going up a half size from your other PNW 55 lasts or drop a half size from your normal sneaker size.
If you’re between sizes or have a wider foot, reach out — we’ll make sure you get dialed.
You know we don’t let you guess on fit.
Only 30 pairs produced for Baker’s
No backorders.
Once they’re gone, that leather allocation is gone.
This is not a “safe” leather.
It will darken.
It will mark.
It will show wear immediately.
And that’s exactly why it’s special.
